If you are a sponsor who is making a donation online and qualifies as at least a Bronze Level contributor, please make sure to leave your company name and website url in the “Special Instructions” message box on the PayPal payment page so that we can display your information on the sponsor section of our website.

A PayPal account is not necessary for donation.

It is only with the help of local businesses, organizations, and ordinary people that our event can occur, not to mention be successful. Legwork for Lungs donates all proceeds from the 5k and Mile Walk directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. All 100%. MSKCC Policy requires a minimum of 75%, but we are proud of our dedication and don’t take short cuts. Learn more about MSKCC here.

How do we cover our event expenses?

From booking Mountain Park to T-Shirts to Timing, Insurance, and other paperwork, organizing a 5k can get pretty expensive. That’s why a key part of organizing Legwork for Lungs is fundraising. Our event is funded entirely by our community and we’ve received lots of encouragement. We go door to door to hundreds of local businesses every year over a period of 5 months (Jun-Oct) to tell them about our event and how they can sponsor. Along the way, we connect with generous individuals who help us out. But the best way to answer the above question is that we spread the word. 

The more people that know about our event, the more money we raise for lung cancer research. We need as much help with that as we can get - volunteers, social media promotion, ads, emails, articles, etc. Please like and comment on our Facebook page. Let the world know about Legwork for Lungs!
